VIDEO | Demacharon: A Search for Redemption

In Greek mythology, Charon is the name of the ferryman who crosses the River Styx, delivering the Dead from the land of the Living to the Underworld. In the case of Demacharon, his name could not be more fitting.

I introduced Demacharon in Ages of Aenya, and became unexpectedly invested in his story. Intended as just a minor figure in the book, someone to help Xandr in his quest to rescue Thelana, he quickly became a lot more, and I could not bring myself to kill him off as I had originally planned, so I ended up exploring his journey in my next book, The Princess of Aenya.

Demacharon’s story is a tragic one—a tale of loss and sorrow—but it also greatly deals with redemption. As Regent Commander of the Hedonian legions, he has much to atone for, and it is this search for atonement which drives much of the plot in The Princess of Aenya. In the video below, I discuss Demacharon in much greater depth, so if you’re interested in learning more about him and the world of Aenya, please check it out!

The Princess of Aenya was recently honored in KIRKUS prestigious Books Worth Discovering list, so if you’d like to get straight to the action, please check out my site at www.nickalimonos.com!!! Don’t like author sites? Amazon has it too!
