The Best Aenya Book You Haven’t Read!

It’s sad that social media always appeals to our basest instincts. It’s why YouTubers make millions—YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!—and why Amazon authors find success writing ENF (Embarrassed Naked Female), harem, and dinosaur erotica. Unfortunately, my readers have fallen into the same trap with my latest book, The Feral Girl, but in reverse. They buy it for the smut, and they get an actual story. By a considerable margin, The Feral Girl is my most successful book, netting me hundreds in monthly sales. But the story of Thelana is an emotional tale of survival, famine, family, prejudice, and environmentalism. There is NO sex in it. Nor any lurid descriptions of body parts. There’s more eroticism to be found in YA novels like Fourth Wing than in The Feral Girl. The problem is that Thelana belongs to a naturist culture, which means she doesn’t wear clothes. This is by no means a sneaky excuse to ogle boobies. Contrary to what Redditors on Men Drawing Women might assume, naturism is a way of life for me, a feminist and humanist philosophy I have tried, with mixed results, to express in my writing. When Thelana eventually discovers civilization, she is treated like a social pariah by the old and like a harlot by the young, because the people in that society more closely resemble our own, misunderstanding her innocence for exhibitionism. It’s art imitating life!

My books are like my children and I love them equally. But The Feral Girl is only a tiny part of Aenya — the world I have spent the last twenty years creating. The Princess of Aenya is the book I am most proud to have written. If The Feral Girl is clickbait, Princess is the genuine article. It has been compared to some of the best fantasy novels of all time (The Night Circus), has received rave reviews by magazines like Kirkus, and more than a few of my readers have admitted it brought them to tears. And yet nobody is reading it! For every twenty Feral Girls I sell, someone buys a Princess book. The only reason I can think of for this discrepancy is that, for the most part, Princess Radia Noora of Tyrnael keeps her clothes on. Maybe I should have called it The Naked Princess, but that would be like a young woman with a master’s degree ending up with an OnlyFans account.

The Princess of Aenya is a powerful tale of adventure, love, death, and redemption. It is for readers looking to be inspired, a book to fit neatly on your shelf between The NeverEnding Story and The Last Unicorn. If you’re a fan of Aenya, fairytales, fantasy, or Sci-Fi, you won’t want to miss out on this gem. It also leads directly into my upcoming book, The Magiq of Aenya (working title).
